Danske Invest receives awards Danske Invest receives awards

Morningstar, the international provider of investment research, named Danske Invest the best equity unit trust in Denmark.

For the fourth year running, Danske Invest received the best equity unit trust award.

Awards are given to the unit trusts in Denmark that generate the highest returns on share and bond investments. In addition, ten individual unit trust funds are designated as the best in their categories.

Maintains its high standard
According to Thomas Mitchell, head of Danske Invest, Danske Invest received the award in recognition of its investment strategy.

“The fact that we have now been named the best equity unit trust for the fourth year running shows that we are capable of maintaining our high standard and that our strategy works,” says Thomas Mitchell. “We have shown that our investment approach also holds in the long term, and this is crucial for our investors.”

Uses local experts
The past four years have seen dramatic price fluctuations, but overall, Danske Invest has done well under positive as well as negative market conditions. According to Thomas Mitchell, one of the causes of the good results is the meticulous selection of the local portfolio managers, who are responsible for the investments in the various unit trust funds.

“Danske Invest uses both local and international investment experts. In our opinion, this is the best way of achieving optimum returns for our investors,” explains Thomas Mitchell.

“Danske Capital has over a number of years acquired strong competence in European investments, while Aberdeen, for instance, has local presence and has in-depth insight in the emerging markets in Asia and Latin America.”

Four funds to the top
In addition to the overall equity award, four Danske Invest funds won their respective categories, namely:

  • Danske Invest Europa Højt Udbytte
  • Danske Invest Fjernøsten
  • Danske Invest Nye Markeder
  • Danske Invest Nye Markeder Obligationer
